A melting pot of cultures and customs with a blend of Muslim Bajau community, and many tribes of Kadazan-Dusun, Iranun. Kota Belud played a significant role as the cultural hub of northern Borneo for many centuries.
Witness the fascinating and colourful weekly market or bazaar called “Tamu” which mens “Meeting Place”. Watch people confer and exchange gossips while selling their merchandise – a place for great bargain.
